NASEO, with support from the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management, is pleased to announce an upcoming workshop and site visit on carbon management and coal conversion for State and Territory Energy Offices at the National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) sites in Morgantown, West Virginia, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Building on NASEO’s 2022 Site Visit and Workshop on Exploring State Carbon Management Policy, Programming, and Technological Opportunities, this workshop will provide an opportunity for peer-sharing and information exchange on a variety of key carbon management related topics including direct air capture, carbon transport and storage, and how states can advance projects through their policies and programs. In addition, there will be tours of relevant lab programs and interactive sessions on community engagement and private sector partnerships.
